Gaming Laptops: Why Ram is Mission Critical?

RAM or memory access random is critical to gaming laptops. Mainly because the more RAM you have in your laptop or computer, the higher the level performance can be achieved. More RAM will increase your enjoyment and allow you to play most 3D games.
Besides the CPU (Central Processing Unit) of RAM is probably the most important element you have in your laptop or computer. Just as you can not have enough money, so you can not have enough RAM. The more the better. The more RAM you have, the faster the team performed.
Most serious gamers know your RAM. They know the difference between static and dynamic RAM. Many can even tell you how SIMM, DIMM and SO-DIMM memory are different each other. Besides, everyone knows the importance of VRAM or VideoRam to the operation of your Gaming Laptop. Most of all, they know their graphics cards or GPU (Graphics Processing Units).
First, you must realize, RAM is probably the best known form or type of computer memory. Second, RAM is very important in how well the team can perform tasks that call upon to do so. The more RAM you have, the more work the computer and programs that can run simultaneously.
Again, if you make the mistake that players only care about getting enough RAM, designers professionals working with heavy graphics and video editors, architects, artists, design, web site ... are also very aware of the importance of enough RAM to do the job. Note that computer technology is advancing at a blistering rate and is constantly changing. Monitoring of these industry standards and technology is JEDEC, which acts as a regulatory body for the semiconductor industry. Hello, someone has to make a track of all these forms of RAM!
Basically, there are two types of RAM - Static RAM (SRAM), which is faster and more expensive than RAM dynamic (DRAM). As its name suggests, Dynamic RAM is constantly being updated and is slower and less expensive than the static RAM.
Static RAM mainly used for the cache in the cache as sensitive to the speed of your CPU.
What confuses most people is the whole range or types Dynamic RAM, with more in development right now. To complicate matters further, is the development of RAM for laptops that need more smaller and more compact memory modules.
Here are some types of RAM that may or may not have seen or heard of:
FPM DRAM - which means "Fast Page Mode Dynamic Random Access Memory" and was the original form of DRAM. Has a maximum transfer rate of about 176 MBps L2 cache, and if you're wondering what is level 2 cache, the cache is located outside the processor chip. Level 1 refers to the internal cache processor.
EDO DRAM - which stands for "Extended Data Out Dynamic Random-Access Memory" and is about 5% faster than FPM DRAM. Rate transfer at about 264 MBps of L2 cache.
SDRAM - which stands for "synchronous dynamic random access memory" is very common in computers today. The transfer rate maxes out at around 528 MBps.
DDR SDRAM - which stands for "Double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic RAM" is similar to SDRAM, but it has greater bandwidth allowing faster. The transfer rate is around L2 cache of 1,064 MBps.
DDR2 SDRAM - that means "double data rate two synchronous dynamic RAM, operates the external data bus twice as fast as DDR SDRAM.
DDR3 SDRAM - which means "double data rate synchronous dynamic RAM Three" and is an improvement over DDR2 SDRAM. DDR3 allows for chip capacities of up to 512 megabits 8 gigabytes, which gives the maximum size of memory module for a whopping 16 gigabytes.
Memory modules
RAM memory modules are mounted on printed circuit boards for use in personal computers. First, there SIMM (single in-line memory modules), which were gradually replaced for the DIMMs (dual memory modules online). The main difference between them: SIMM has a history of 32 data bits and DIMMs have a 64-path data bits. Now for laptops, has SO-DIMM (Small Outline Memory Module Dual In-line) that are smaller and more compact integrated circuit memory.
Of course, like everything in life, there are radically different forms of RAM or RDRAM memory, which means "Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory." This was designed by Rambus and has a high speed data bus dubbed the Rambus channel. Similarly, had Rambus inline memory module (RIMM) and computers laptops had SO-RIMM.
Graphics card
Then you must know that there is something called VRAM or VideoRam. This is a type of RAM is used for video adapters or 3-D accelerators. VRAM is located on the graphics card and it is important for high resolution and color depth, both very essential for players. From a multiport VRAM is expensive, some Graphics cards use SGRAM (synchronous graphics RAM) instead because it is cheaper. Other special high-speed or multi-port memory include WRAM, DDR2, GDDR3 and GDDR4.
Your graphics card is the heart of the gaming machine. Most players go to the best brands such as Nvidia (GeForce) and ATI (Radeon) - the highest card serial number usually means better performance. For example, at the time of writing, Nvidia launched the GeForce 9800 GX2, which is basically of two GeForce 8800 GT on a card. This will also give you DirectX graphics 10. Wait a couple of months and is likely to be something faster and more powerful on the market.
If a graphics card is good, then two or more would be even better. That's why you have SLI (Scalable Link Interface) that allows the linking of two or more video cards together to get a single output. PCI Express, is another format expansion card interface which was introduced by Intel in 2004.
How much RAM needed?
As already mentioned RAM, the more you have, the better your computer will run. You will be able to do more work and faster if you have plenty of RAM. In Actually, the RAM memory upgrade to a higher level usually gives you a whole new team.
There are recommended minimum requirements if you want to execute certain programs or operating systems on your PC or laptop. To run Windows XP, Microsoft recommends 128 MB of RAM as a minimum requirement, once more is better.
For Mac OS X requires a minimum of 128 MB but for optimal performance try 512 MB. Linux works very well in a system with only 4 MB of RAM.
For Windows Vista - Microsoft recommends at least 1Gig of RAM, but many users have reported that two-three performances of RAM Vista is a much easier beast to handle. View probably needs all the good press, if you can get.
Game Notebook: How much RAM?
Again as best, gaming laptops need a lot of RAM because it has lots of video graphics and images. Serious gamers usually buy as much RAM as they can afford, choosing the fastest machines with the latest graphics card. Laptops with four performances of RAM are increasingly common, with many players opting for eight performances.
