It's a good deal, and Sony is a good laptop but not the best ones. The one you listed is one of Sony's low-end or cheaper laptops but it will still work for the things you do. It is more for word processing, internet browsing, but maybe also some multitasking as it has a dual-core processor, just not gaming since it has not so good graphics.
