Warhammer 40k Tabletop, Chaos vs. Ork question?
I was toying around with making a force composed of two Berzerker units in Rhinos, a Daemon Prince, and a Dreadknoght for a 1k game.
Problem is everytime I go to make it up I keep coming to one conclussion...
Couldn't Orks essentially make the same theme, only better, and for fewer points?
They're furious charge, same attacks, fearless as well in the #'s they'd be in, same toughness... and while they have worse armor, WS, and BS and Init... they're LESS then 1/3 the points.
Am I missing what makes my Zerkers so cool at their 21pt cost? (not even counting their upgraded leader which isn't 2 wound)
My friend says comparitive immunity to template weapons, but I'm not sure if that's a 3 to 1 compensation.
armor alone can explain most of the difference, an orc will save 1 in 6 rolls, a berzerker 4 in 6. So even though he costs 3 times as much, he has a 4 times better shot of surviving a wound. Added to the fact that they are going to attack 1st in close combat its makes it worth increase in points
