Why are the Dwarfs in Warhammer a dying race?
I know they went to war with the Elves and lost many of their people. That and the loss of many of their holds to Greenskins and Skaven. But why are they not rebuilding in what remains of their holds?
It comes down to how long it takes to "make" another dwarf. Dwarfs and elves live a long time and take a long time to reach adulthood. So even if dwarfs kill orcs and skaven 5 to 1, the skaven and orcs simply reproduce quicker and keep on coming.
