How to upgrade your video card?
i just got 40k warhammer dawn of war II and it doesnt work
a notice pops up and it says:
failed to find a supported hardware rendering device. Ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements for DoW II. Verify DirectX is properly installed and that you have the latest drivers for your system.
Yes.. i have DirectX 9 instaleed, agme doesnt work with 10
Its the video card. for minimum requieremenst it is Nvidia GeForce 6600 or ATI X1600. I have Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family
I went to NVidia to downlaod the GeForce 6600 GT and it said your system does not meet the required hardwar or something. I tried again and it worked... oddly enough. It installed and asked to restart computer and when i got back on i still had same video card??
If i didnt have GeForce 6600 GT then what the hell did i install! and no it wasnt a knockoff it was legit straight from NVidia.
What do i do now? This game cost me $50.
The graphics chip you are currently using is the Intel 915GV. That is NOT the same thing as an nVidia 6600.
A graphics card is a circuit board with a graphics processor chip on it, not downloaded software. Obviously you cannot download a circuit board. If you want a better graphics card, you must buy it from a store.
More bad news-- The Intel 915GV has no slot to receive a better graphics card. So you are stuck with it.
