warhammer 40k orks codex
warhammer 40k crisis?

ok so i bought a assault on black reach box with space marines and orks, i painted the space marines as crimson fists but now i want to play orks. the problem is i already bought the frigging space marine codex at the goddamn retail price. aobr models are worth nothing to anyone with half a brain and i cant get my money back on the codex.

what should i do? maybe slowly build two armies?

The black reach box isn’t to bad as it already has half of what you want. Just look at the Space Marines as practice for building and painting. You should already start to see that you are doing better at both with your orcs. Now there are a couple of things you can do with the Marines. Try and sell them on ebay (this will get you almost nothing in return), try and trade them to someone else for orcs, keep them and maybe teach some friends how to play letting them use them (then trade later when they start), or my favorite you can use them as terrain/add ons for your orcs to make them look like they are killing marines (orcs love doing that).

The codex isn’t such a bad thing as depending on were you live there is a high possibility 2/3rds of the armies you will be playing will be Marines (a lot of people play them at some point or another). Keep the codex and read through it when you get time. It will help a lot in find out what they are able to do and what to expect when you fight them. Knowing the other players codex goes a long way in this game and you never know. A few months down the road you may want to start maries as well.

The Warhammer 40k tabletop game is a miniature war game that is set in the future. The game basically works by building an army, setting up the rules and scenery for the battle and taking turns until a winner is decided. To play the game, you first must be aware of the rules. The hardbound version of the Warhammer 40k rule book in particular acts not only as a rule book but also as a guide on what army to choose.

Choosing an army should be a decision that is carefully thought of. Buying and creating models takes a lot of time, effort, patience, and of course, money as well. Therefore, it is better to get a hold of the rule book first and read basic information about each army before making your big decision.

A shorter version of the rule book can also be found inside the Assault on Black Reach box starter set. The set also includes everything you need in order to start playing the game including 2 armies, the Space Marines and the Orks. To further "get to know" the army you've chosen, you can also read the "codex" or the specific rule book for the army. The codex contains all the rules and information you need to know about each model in your army.

After you've chosen your allegiance, you can now proceed to buying your models. You need not go all out in buying the models for the first time. Just buy the very basics as outlined in the Codex for your army first and then work on improving your skills by going on small-scale battles with your friends before you expand your army.

One of the most fun parts of the Warhammer 40k tabletop game is that you get to assemble, customize and paint the models you buy yourself. Therefore, you can choose to follow Games Workshop's design through the artworks found in the rule books or choose to build your own unique army by using unique colors for your models.

After you've built your army, you are good to go. Next, to start playing battles with friends, you need to create your 40k tabletop arena. If you are a do-it-yourself type of person, you can create your own terrain. There are also pre-made terrain pieces you can buy, assemble and paint yourself as well.

The important thing to remember is that the battlefield should be designed to be fair for both sides; each player should have an equal chance of winning, in terms of the obstacles present on each side of the table, as the game begins. You will know that you have built a good 40k tabletop battlefield when it doesn't matter where you position your army at the start of the battle.

Warhammer 40k is a complex game to begin with. However, once you get started with this hobby, you'll find that the 40k tabletop game is easy to get addicted to because it is so much fun. With all its cool features, this phenomenon is sure to stay.

Your best bet for getting started with Warhammer 40k is to pick up the Assault on Black Reach starter set. For more information about getting started with Warhammer 40k please visit http://www.paulymath.com/40k/assault-on-black-reach
