How do I beat Chaos Space Marines with Orks?
I collect Warhammer 40k and I keep losing to people who aren't that good, I need some advice on how to beat Space Marines with my army the green skins. I tried the internet but the website I saw said that I can't kill their assault units.
1) Get this moths white dwarf, ita got heaps on ork battle plans, its #350 and is about the lizardmen update.
Its a bit hard to explain them in detail so here are the 3 plans in the white dwarf. I've tryed them out myslef and boy they're good.
Plan 1) Have a hard flank, fast flank, and boyz in the centre - on the left flank 2 trucks, on the right have 4 Deffcoptas
Plan 2) Truck wave followed by a choppy wave - you need 3 truck for the first wave cause 1 will get blown up, 1 will almost make it and 1 will make it. The 2nd wave has boys in the middle and 2 killa kas on each side.
Plan 3) The distractions - have some storm boyz deepstrike at one main point in the army and some kommandos sneaking on the other (both near the front to plug up any rush they would have had) whilst that is happening have boyz and deff dread and stuff charge up with less chance of going boom.
Tip: Equip all Dreas Dreads/ killa Kanz with extra close combat weapons - they're going to be running not shooting
And please get the White Dwarf #350, seriously its a god send for ork strategies.

Warhammer 40k is a tabletop game that has been making waves in the world of miniature war gaming for the past 2 decades. The game is so popular that Games Workshop, its creator, has already released 5 editions of the game just to satisfy the needs of fans and hobbyists around the world. The Warhammer 40k tabletop game is quite a complex game to play, but it is the type that you easily get addicted to.
The 40k tabletop game requires strategic skills and patience from the players. The experience of playing the game can be compared with the feeling of being a general during a war. Each move you make should be carefully planned out, and the opponent's move should be carefully observed. Similarly, every move and every attack that happens on the 40k tabletop battlefield is vital to the success of the player. While luck is also a factor in playing the game, the success of the player can often be traced back to the army he chooses and the strategy he employs in playing that army.
The Warhammer 40k armies have different tactics that they use in battle, and with the rules set by Games Workshop, it is easy to see that none of these armies are perfect. Each has its own fair share of advantages and disadvantages that could make or break it for the player. The key in building an army is to build one that complements your style of playing, which means that its tactics should match your personality and playing tactics as well.
For example, if you're the type of person that prefers to go into battle with guns blazing - your best bet would be to build an army that supports that style of play.
Each army also has a unique background and history, and reading these back-stories in the magazines and rule books will also help to get you familiarized with the style of game play of each army.
Warhammer 40k is not just an ordinary game; rather, it is a hobby that will reward the time, energy and money you invest in it with a rich feeling of accomplishment, fun and enjoyment.
As a beginner to the world of Warhammer 40,000 you may want to consider starting out with a starter set instead of collecting your main army from the get-go. The starter set for Warhammer 40k is called Assault on Black Reach and it gives you access to two small starter armies - the Space Marines and the Orks - with which you can battle your friends.
By building and painting the miniature models in this set you'll get some experience and enjoy the game play of the game before choosing your main army.
Consider your starter set like a training exercise where you learn all the basic aspects of the hobby, from building models, to painting, to learning how to play and even to building your own war gaming terrain.
Because of this, starting off your journey into Warhammer 40k with the Assault on Black Reach starter set is your best bet. For more information about getting started with Warhammer 40k please visit http://www.paulymath.com/40k/assault-on-black-reach
